The Meadow House

We are parked at The Meadow House just north of the CA border outside Ashland. The views are spectacular, so I painted all afternoon. Maya made herself a charcoal drawing stick, took the dawg for a walk across the creek, and is enjoying the feedom of wide open space. We’ll be here 2 days, then back to Ashland for a play, Jacksonville, and Oregon Caves mid week.

Haiku for Meadow House

Burble goes the brook
past spearmint leaves and aspen
quaking in Fall’s breeze.

Puffs of clouds blow so
gently over red hills near
a golden meadow.

White logs bridge canyons
for children to straddle while
finding insects. Look!
