Last year we hiked around the Columbia Gorge waterfalls but wanted to return to Oneonta to test our bravery and paint, of course.
To see the lower Oneonta falls, one must traverse the creek bed, climb two log jambs, and ford the waist-high pools. We returned without any major injuries and without a painting; it was just a bit too chilly to sit and paint.
So we returned to camp to paint. Last year I painted the Middle Oneonta Falls. Perhaps next year I’ll get the upper. If there are not three falls on this creek, please correct me!
