SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2007 Columbia Gorge Crown Point 2 oil on gessoboard on 5 x 7 x 1 canvas
Crown Point is an Oregon favorite which I’ve painted twice now. I started with an 8×10 in acrylic, then today tried this 5×7 oil on gessoboard. Next is a large format in oil or acrylic.
This depiction is of an August sunset which cast pink onto all the light surfaces.
I’ll be traveling back to the Gorge this summer to hike the rest of the falls missed last summer and to paint the Oneonta Falls from below (after traversing the log jam and quiet pools; canvas in hand!).
