I think this is my quickest painting yet (just an hour). I’m working on loose brush strokes and exaggerated color.
I just downloaded 64 photos from my phone which were mostly gardens around my neighborhood. Corvallis is sure a pretty place to live!

Donated to the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir annual fundraiser.

Due to some technical glitches, I am repainting this series. I’m experimenting with thick, squirted paint and a funny brush made of several rubber tips.

Check back next week for the final work. The paints are quite thick and take a long time to dry.

One of my favorite birds is the ceder wax wing, for it’s subtle color changes.

More for the bird series.

Any requests? Send me a photo or let me know what birds you like and I’ll paint them for you.

Waiting for the Wave

These two kids enjoyed skimming the waves two summers ago. I guess I’m feeling a bit sad that summer is over again. We do have such great adventures then.

Painting a wonderful memory helps it last. Consider commissioning a painting of your favorite memory. An original painting can stay in the family through many generations, adding to the family history and leaving an impression for your descendants to enjoy.

Non-objective mood strikes

I visited the Mod Pod store earlier this week to hang some of my daily paintings and was inspired by the trendy-retro-FUN atmosphere of the place.

That experience combined with this image I saw behind my eyelids when I shut them after looking at something too long, resulted in this playful non-objective painting on canvas.

See it in person at the Mod Pod.

During one of my walks around the neighborhood, I spotted this lovely pink rose. Who know the name of it?

Send me a request for a flower portrait.
