Two summers ago we drove up Larch Mountain on the Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway, hoping for a spectacular view of all the adjacent mountains.
We did have a wonderful view, but not of mountains. The haze was rolling in and out and the company was interesting.
I hope to sit there and paint next time we visit there. And if the mountains are in view, I’ll burn through numerous batteries getting permanent glimpses of the peaks for later painting.
