This latest commissioned acrylic on canvas of Mary’s Peak is helping fund my daughter’s trip to Greece to sing at a Choir Festival.
Join me at Fall Festival 2013!

Preparing for Fall Festival
$300 © Pam Van Londen 2013 Santiam River 3.4 oil on gallery-edged canvas on 20 x 16 x 1 canvas, framed in dark brown wood.
I am painting new and repainting some old works to prepare for the Corvallis Fall Festival, slated for Sept 28 and 29, 2013. I’ll be in booth 169 in the smaller circle. Please drop by and say hello. I will have framed and unframed daily paintings as well as some larger works.
Daisies At The Fence
SOLD © 2013 Pam Van Londen. Daisies At The Fence. Acrylic on 12x12x.5 gallery-edged archival canvas. No need to frame.
An old wooden fence and a field full of Shasta daisies is a common scene in Oregon in the summer.
Willamette River 1.2 Revision
$72. Purchase online via Credit Card at PayPal.
© Pam Van Londen 2013. Willamette River 1.2. Acrylic on 12x12x.5 gallery-edged archival canvas.
My first Willamette River painting was not so popular…the colors were subtle and perhaps dull. I’ve brightened them up and added some splash!
This brighter palette is how the river looks today on this very hot and sunny summer day.
Willamette River 31, Clackamette Park again
$60. © Pam Van Londen 2013. Willamette River 31, acrylic on 8×8-inch panel, unframed, plein air. Purchase via PayPal with a credit card
Here’s another plein air painting from Clackamette Park. I’m adding this one and the previous painting to the Daily Paintworks “Different Ways” challenge.
Valley Storm 7
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2013. Oil on 8×8-inch canvas panel.
Oregon’s Willamette Valley provides spectacular skies full of clouds that cast rich shadows on the valley floor.
This original oil painting should be ready to ship by May 5, 2013.
Turner, Oregon
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2012, Turner 4, 8×8 Oil on Clayboard
The view from the farm in Turner is always spectacular! I’ve painted this composition before but I like this version better.
Frazier Wetland
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Frazier Wetland 2, 8×8 Oil on Clayboard
Last weekend my daughter and I were enjoying the wetlands to paint and do homework. It was peaceful, but hard to paint due to having 2 dogs who want to greet all the passing dogs.
It was a very green day but of course, I like to find the hidden colors to paint.
Willamette River Plein Air
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 29 Oil on 8×8-inch archival Claybord panel, unframed. Purchase frame separately.
$35 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 30, 7×5 oil on claybord
I enjoyed painting downtown on the waterfront today. Everyone was in a jolly mood while they biked/walked by with their dogs and kids.
Since it was warm outside, I worked in oils. These two should be dry in a week or so.
Nests of Prosperity 9 and 10
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Nest of Prosperity 9, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Nest of Prosperity 10, 8×8 oil on claybord
It is that time of year when we want to see things growing, percolating, gestating. Let these nests encourage you to grow and prosper.

Snow paintings.
$64 © Pam Van Londen 2010, 18th Street Snow 3, 8×8 acrylic on Claybord
$64 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Snowy Path, 8×8 acrylic on Claybord
The snow day afforded me the opportunity to lay low and work at the easel today. I enjoyed working with iridescent acrylics on the Ampersand Claybord panels.
Valley Morning 11
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Valley Morning 11, 8×8 Acrylic on Claybord
Lately, I prefer acrylic over oil paint on the Claybord surface.
With it, I can still get a transparent underpainting that shows a lot of visual texture then pile up thicker paint on top to create a physical texture.
Valley Morning #10
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Valley Morning 10, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard
The chilly morning with sunlight burning through the fog inspires me to paint! It is warm and cozy in the studio but I will have to venture out in the freeze to get the day’s list of chores taken care of.
This painting was stolen off the doorstep of its new owner when delivered. If you see it online or in person anywhere, please notify me or the local Police. Thank you.
Willamette River commission
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 28, 12×12 acrylic on gallery-edged canvas
This painting was commissioned for a couple that floated the Willamette River years ago.
The technique here uses an alizarin crimson underpainting to keep the palette bright. Once dry, I layered thick and thin swirling and flat layers to build depth.
I’ve painted the edges of the canvas so the image wraps around it, allowing more view from the sides and top and bottom.
Corvallis Trees
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Park Trees 5, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Park Trees 6, 8×8 oil on claybord
Trees, trees, beautiful trees! Every corner of Corvallis is filled with interesting trees and I want to paint them all.
Storm Clouds in Crescent Valley
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Clouds 5, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Valley Storm 5, 8×8 oil on claybord
Once the rain stopped, the sky at Thursday night’s CHS/CVHS varsity girls soccer game was spectacular and inspired these paintings.
Park Trees 4
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Park Trees 4, 8×8 oil on claybord
The OSU campus has many interesting trees to paint from. Everyone morning when I walk to the office, I see all manner of shapes, sizes, and colors to study.
You might notice I am building a series of oil paintings that use swirling brush strokes and very bright colors. This is my favorite style to paint.
Two of these works are at the Mod Pod in downtown Corvallis. If you like what you see, we can meet to view the rest of them in person.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen2010, German Highway 2, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Avery Park Trees 4, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Park Trees, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 22, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, German Highway 1, 8×8 oil on claybord
Another Murder of Crows
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Crow Upcycled 2, 8×8 oil on claybord
I had some half-paintings sitting around so I finished them by adding crow silhouettes. These are made with oil paint and oil stick. Each comes framed in black.
I’m getting ready for my winter sale so must clean out unnecessary clutter from the studio. I have a stack of paintings I just can’t look at anymore, they will get a similar treatment.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Crow Upcycled 3, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Crow Upcycled 4, 8×8 oil on claybord
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Crow Upcycled 5, 8×8 oil on claybord
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Crow Upcycled 1, oil on 8×8-inch archival Claybord panel. Unframed.
Fall is here
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Fall Maple Leaves 1, oil on 8×8-inch archival Claybord panel. Unframed.
It has cooled down here and is raining again so I could buckle down and paint!
Very few leaves have turned bright colors yet but that time is not far off. I can smell it in the air.
If you have a Fall scene you need painted for home, office, or a gift, please contact me with the details. I have time to help you out!
More arctic landscapes
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Arctic 2, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Arctic 3, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard
I’ve switched to acrylic paint lately to see how it works on Ampersand Claybord panels. I like its staining properties and the textures created when I remove partly-dried paint.
In addition, I’m using interference and iridescent paints to provide interesting color effects, which can be seen when you move from right to left. These paints also provide 3-D texture at full strength.
Come to Fall Festival to view them in person…the photos don’t catch all the fascinating nuances.

Klamath River Serenity
$64 Purchase via Etsy© Pam Van Londen 2010, Klamath River 4, 12×9 acrylic on claybord
In the early morning beside the Klamath River, you might spot a bear across the way, or a blanket of flog seeping in and out with the tide, or a buzzard looking for fishing scraps.
Willamette River 22
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 22, 8×8 oil on claybord
While the kids are practicing soccer, I was practicing painting. We are lucky to have such a great sports park next to our Willamette River.
This painting was painted en plain air and goes with these other paintings:
Avery Park Trees, Willamette River Paint Out.

$75 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 17, 9×12 watercolor
Here are a couple of watercolors I created last night. I have two more but these are the best. I was too pooped to paint at the river so I painted from memory.
