Stop by to see my new work in booth 168. I will have framed 8×8-inch oil and acrylic landscapes and at least 100 5×7-inch abstract watercolors. In addition, I’ll have a few larger paintings on canvas.

From August 1 – 31, I have eleven oil and acrylic paintings hanging at Timberhill Athletic club, along with paintings by local abstract painter, Jake Dorr.

The most popular subject matter at the last exhibit was birds, and more specifically, crows.

Here are three new images of crows in flight. The invented color image has a style I’d like to work with for awhile.

This painting was painted plein air last week but I spent a few days looking at it and making touchups to brighten the colors.

The use of large, obvious brush strokes is something I do in many paintings, though you don’t see them in my blog very often.

Only about half seem to turn out right the first time, so I massage them for months and perhaps get a few more that work.

This quick sketch of Mary’s Peak outside Corvallis and Philomath uses exaggerated color and the same transparent oil on Claybord technique I’ve been using lately.

Just opening is the new Dana Marie Gallery in the Starbucks building at the corner of 4th and Madison, in Corvallis. Visit with artists from 6pm to 9pm, Saturday, March 27 during the Grand Opening Reception. Read more about it in the Gazette-Times newspaper.
