Thank you Kimberly Conrad for highlighting my work on your blog.
See my work locally at the Albany Library (upstairs) until Dec 31.
I had two pieces accepted to the Waterways show at LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU campus.
I’m not at the Elle: women take over show but it honors some great artists!

This small painting would make a lovely larger painting, say 4-feet square, for your dining, living, or office space.
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Park Trees 13, 8×8 oil on claybord
Can you feel the fresh morning dew on your face and catch the scent of the rain forest? These are my stomping grounds…the lush forests of Oregon. Ferns and tall thick trees nurture!

I’ve revised this painting
2007:
After a month of apartment living, we finally got to visit the Oregon Coast and boy we enjoyed it.
I painted three works on canvas, the kids built fires, we ate smores, and enjoyed friends in Otter Rock.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Mary’s Peak 1.2, 24×36 Acrylic on canvas
In honor of Fall Festival, I’ve revised a larger painting that has been hiding in various places for 4 years. I’ve added more vibrant colors, including iridescent ivory, cream, and copper. The composition is almost the same.

Last month I camped at Cape Kiwanda with family and had the chance to paint the dunes. Today I finished up the details.
I’ve exaggerated the color and pattern just for fun! The wind blew those two days of painting, so you’ll notice a bit of sand in the paint.

See it in person at the Corvallis Fall Festival.
Please join me at the Fall Festival Artists Showcase the night before the Festival starts, on Sept 21, 2012. I will miraculously set up my booth and schmooze with patrons at the show.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2012, Turner 4, 8×8 Oil on Clayboard
The view from the farm in Turner is always spectacular! I’ve painted this composition before but I like this version better.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Frazier Wetland 2, 8×8 Oil on Clayboard
Last weekend my daughter and I were enjoying the wetlands to paint and do homework. It was peaceful, but hard to paint due to having 2 dogs who want to greet all the passing dogs.
It was a very green day but of course, I like to find the hidden colors to paint.
My fine art paintings have been included in these Etsy Treasuries this month:
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 29 Oil on 8×8-inch archival Claybord panel, unframed. Purchase frame separately.
$35 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Willamette River 30, 7×5 oil on claybord
I enjoyed painting downtown on the waterfront today. Everyone was in a jolly mood while they biked/walked by with their dogs and kids.
Since it was warm outside, I worked in oils. These two should be dry in a week or so.
If you are so inclined, please VOTE for my painting to become the 2012 poster art.
Voting ends May 2 or 3rd.
Thank you!

I’ve sold 3 already!
Next Month I’ll hang at Stash, the new yarn shop downtown.
And last month I hung at Good Samaritan Hospital.

$64 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Snowy Path, 8×8 acrylic on Claybord
The snow day afforded me the opportunity to lay low and work at the easel today. I enjoyed working with iridescent acrylics on the Ampersand Claybord panels.
$50 © Pam Van Londen 2010, Pears 2, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Pear 3, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard. Unframed.
I’m glad pears last a long time when sitting on the counter. I will keep painting this pair of pears until they are ready to eat.
Chef’s Jubilee Auction © Pam Van Londen 2010, Pear 1, 8×8 Acrylic on Clayboard
One of my friends/clients/art patrons has been looking at pear paintings, which motivated me to finally paint one. I have not painted a pear since I was in collage oh so many years ago.
This one is painted very loosely in acrylic on Claybord. I like painting as messily as possible….so much fun!
Tomorrow’s pear is red. Stay tuned.
SOLD © Pam Van Londen 2010, Valley Morning 11, 8×8 Acrylic on Claybord
Lately, I prefer acrylic over oil paint on the Claybord surface.
With it, I can still get a transparent underpainting that shows a lot of visual texture then pile up thicker paint on top to create a physical texture.
I have been treasured! Other Etsy artisans have chosen some of my work to show in their special lists of works.
December marks the end of my first 4 years selling work on Etsy.com. In that time I’ve have exhibited in 200 treasuries!

The chilly morning with sunlight burning through the fog inspires me to paint! It is warm and cozy in the studio but I will have to venture out in the freeze to get the day’s list of chores taken care of.
This painting was stolen off the doorstep of its new owner when delivered. If you see it online or in person anywhere, please notify me or the local Police. Thank you.
